Bio:
Ennan Zhai is the Head of Network Research at Alibaba Cloud. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale University in 2015, and then served as a research assistant professor at Yale. In 2018, he joined Alibaba. He leads the intelligent network reliability operation and maintenance system for Alibaba Cloud, which supports AI-driven network infrastructure performance and reliability, ensuring zero faults for large-scale Alibaba Cloud live streaming networks such as those for the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Tokyo Olympics. His research areas include computer networks, distributed systems, and more. He has published over 60 papers in international top conferences, such as SIGCOMM, NSDI, and SOSP (including 13 papers at SIGCOMM), and has served multiple times as a program committee member for top conferences like SIGCOMM and NSDI. He is currently an executive committee member of the CCE Internet Professional Committee and has received the First Prize for Technical Invention from the Communications Society.
