On August 10, 2024, Professor Jie Wu, Chief Scientist of China Telecom and President of the Cloud Computing Research Institute was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the 10th International Conference on Big Data Computing and Communications (BIGCOM 2024). Titled "Edge-Cloud Networks for Efficient AI/ML Implementations," the speech provided an in-depth discussion on edge-cloud collaborative networks for AI/ML applications, offering attendees valuable academic and practical insights.

BIGCOM is a large and authoritative international academic conference in big data, having successfully held ten editions. The conference was hosted by the School of Software at Dalian University of Technology and the International School of Information and Software at Dalian University of Technology-Rikkyo University. Research topics covered at the conference included network communication for big data, system design, security, and privacy, and applications of intelligent algorithms. Jie Wu, Director of the Cloud Computing Research Institute at China Telecom, and Dr.Yanwen Wang, a researcher, participated in this event.
