Recently, the results of the 2024 ACM SIGHPC China Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award were announced. Dr. Wang Yiduo, who recently completed his Ph.D. at the University of Science and Technology of China and is now affiliated with the Cloud Computing Research Institute of China Telecom, was honored with this prestigious award.

ACM SIGHPC China is a professional committee dedicated to advancing the field of high-performance computing. It serves as a community for researchers and practitioners in China, aiming to share resources and provide a platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration. To recognize outstanding research achievements and high-quality doctoral dissertations by young scholars and recent graduates in related fields, ACM SIGHPC China annually selects up to three young scholars for the "ACM SIGHPC China Rising Star Award" and up to three doctoral graduates for the "ACM SIGHPC China Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award".

Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China in June 2024, under the supervision of Professor Xu Yinlong and Associate Professor Li Cheng. Currently, he works as a researcher at the Cloud Computing Research Institute of China Telecom, focusing on innovative research in data storage technology for next-generation cloud computing. His research has been published in international conferences such as SC and EuroSys.

We expect that Dr. Wang will continue to make advance researches in cloud computing based on China Telecom's platform.
